Cruise!!! LoTs OF PiCtUrEs!

Well we did it! After spending wayyy too many hours in the SLC, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale airports we have been on a cruise and are now back to reality! I won't bore you with all the details of me writing it so I have compiled (or tried) to get the pictures sorted in collages by each day. It's much more fun to look at pictures than read a boring journal about it! We ate way too much food and had a great time with my dear friend and her husband. We went to Key West Florida, Cozumel Mexico, and the Bahamas. We had beautiful weather and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I of course spent too much time in the sun without the use of sunscreen so I am suffering the consequences of that stupidity. We got to snorkel which was actually really fun even though I almost died by freaking out when I sucked up water through my snorkel but Nick showed me how to blow the water out so I survived. We are happy to be back in Utah where the air is a little easier to breathe! Although, I did go running on our cruise and boy it felt like I could run 20 miles! That dang elevation does really make a difference! Needless to say..loved the cruise..Who is ready for the next one!?

Meet our daughter...

Okay..so not our daughter but my car's daughter! Had ya going for a second there didn't I! Ha well no.. We just received the baby this last weekend since my parents were so kind to deliver her to us..kind of like a stork! She is definitely a beauty and we are so ecstatic of having a running car that smells so good..(thanks to the previous owners)! Just wanted to introduce you all to her! We are still trying to come up with a name but haven't so we'll let you know when we decide! Have a wonderful day! I have a feeling spring is right around the corner!

RIP

Now..I regret to post this but my dearest, trustworthy, dependable, fun, friend has said goodbye to us. Yes it's true. My one and only camry. She lived a good life yes she did. I cherish so many memories with her. Even when she wasn't mine to claim she went the distances to Moscow Idaho a couple of times. She traveled to Yellowstone National park with us when we thought it was cool to stick not one of our heads but three of our heads out the sunroof and take memorable photos. She's been camping, she's been fishing, she's been skiing, (gotta love those pull down back seats!) and as I do recall she has been pulled over a few times in her day..I won't mention how fast she has gone but I will say my dearest friends and I challenged her to get us to Declo from Raft River on one New Year's Eve in less than 15 minutes! I will dearly miss her and we won't ever forget her and that's why we have high hopes of purchasing a cousin or maybe a younger sister (even with all the dumb Toyota recalls!) In her last dying breath she made it to 303,239 miles!

Here we come 2010

We survived the holidays! We had a great time spending it with family on both sides. We are not sure if we are ready for another semester but regardless it is here. Nick starts school again tomorrow! We did go ice-skating on New Years day which was really fun. Nick gets really into the speed of it and just wants to go really fast. I just try not to fall, which as you can tell from the picture I still managed to eat it once and my good husband made me stay on the ice until he took a picture! Nick surprised me with a bedspread that I had begged him for hence the awesome look on my face. We got fishing poles from my parents and can't wait to use them! Nick got a tackle box too, even though he thought it was a rather large lunch box!! The last couple pictures are a few we had for our christmas card..nick really wishes he could grow a mustache..for now black eyeliner will have to do! We have already made quite a large list of our new resolutions! To name a few..go on a cruise..(already booked for May 8, 2010!) get our butts into shape so we don't scare everyone away on the cruise..go camping..be nicer to each other.. attend the temple more often..and many more! Best wishes in 2010!!

Christmas is almost here!!

I can't wait for Christmas to be here. I love doing all the christmas things we do to get ready for the day. I always take wrapping a little too serious and spend wayy too much time and making sure the wrapping looks just as cute if not cuter than what's inside! To me..the outside really does matter! I thought the wrapping paper I found this year was so cute and it came in huge rolls so I will be using them for awhile. I also was over at a friends and saw her being so crafty and she was making stockings out of sweaters! What a great idea! I of course stole the idea and headed off to DI to see if I could find any fat/chunky sweaters that could be used as stockings. I found this sweater and thought it could be cute..I didn't take a before picture of when it was a sweater but here are our stockings for this year! Lately we have been able to go to a few USU basketball games and they have been dang good games! Like when we beat stupid BYU!! That was a good game! We went to USU's last football game and Nick's little sister came with us and we saw some awesome hats! Check em out! I couldn't stop laughing hence me taking pictures of random strangers! Then Thanksgiving came and me, my sister Ericka and sis-in-law ran in the Turkey trot and it was so cold..so it made us run faster! We played some football and basketball and we definitely ate..alot! All I need to say is I got Texas Roadhouse rolls for Thanksgiving dinner and I would have been happy if we didn't have anything else..I ate that many anyway. We saw New Moon and it was ok..way better than Twilight but the actors need some work still..Finals are this week for Nick and he is so ready to be done with this semester. On the flip side of those fun things we've been able to enjoy..it has poured with "trials" this last month..Our storage still isn't fixed so our crap is in our house still because we don't want to go swimming for it. We got a nice letter from the IRS saying we owe 2,500.00. We got booted last night for 70.00 We had to replace the brakes on our car..Our computer has died once again..and we're paying to have it fixed again..We have to pay tuition in full + books next week..ouch! I should probably list some things that I am grateful for before I get struck by lightning as I'm complaining about all of these dreadful things..Heres a few to list..not in order by any means. I still have all 10 fingers so that I can type this blog post in a timely manner. We do have a roof over our heads and it keeps us pretty warm. We do have two cars which do run most of the time. We have cell phones in case one doesn't run. We have jobs. We have great families. We have food to eat even if it gets burnt sometimes. We have eachother! I figured if I have to go through this life I might as well have Nick telling me it's going to be okay since I freak out over everything! Here are a few pics of the past few weeks! Meet My New Love

I have a confession to make. I have fallen in love with someone new...well actually someTHING new! Take a look at this beauty and you will also! I sure wish I could take the credit of refinishing it but I can't..But I reupholstured the cushion on the stool because the other stuff was just nasty and it was free since I already had that fabric on hand from a previous project. Sadly, the vanity was far from being free but Nick was so nice of letting me get it..even if it is a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanakuh, and Happy Birthday to me. I have been searching for one of these babies for quite some time and finally got lucky!!

HaLLoWeeN!!

We have had a few fun things to do since the last time I posted. Here it goes..Katie is still playing volleyball..big tournament starts this week. Katie is working. Nick is working. Nick goes to school. Nick had a test. Nick had another test. Nick is playing 3 on 3 basketball. Katie watched him play ball. Katie tried to "coach" him. Katie/Nick watched the Office of when Jim and Pam got married..favorite episode ever! Katie is working. Storage flooded. No heat for the night..first of many nights that it snowed in Logan. Apartment got attacked by box elder bugs. Went to a BYU football game. Watched somebody's canopy blow away. Got rained on. Threw a football through a hole. Got a free shirt. BYU lost. Nick was sad. Went to a friends house. Nick goes to school. Nick ordered a mail-in bride. Nick picked up mail-in bride. Nick realized mail-in bride was Katie. Asked for a refund. Decided to go to the pumpkin patch. Walked two miles to get there. Stood in line for 2 minutes. Didn't want to be there all night. Crowded in line. Glanced at the pumpkins. Took a few pictures. Made fun of the people who waited in line. Rode a school bus back to our car. Won't do it again. Nick had a birthday. Nick/Katie went to Olive Garden. Nick is 24! Katie didn't wrap any of Nick's presents. Katie/Nick Put bikes and lawn mower away for winter. Katie dressed as a football player at work. Drove to Idaho. Katie dressed as a zombie. Katie scared some innocent children with her face. Nick dressed as Rambo, compliment's of father-in-law's endless supply of camo. Had a spooky party at sisters. Katie is working. Drank lots of homemade rootbeer. Katie colored her hair. Katie cut her hair..(well Ericka did! Thanks again!) Had a birthday party with family. Ate cake. Got full. Said goodbye. Drove back to Logan. Nick goes to school. Katie is working.
