Well Thanksgiving was wonderful involving ALL my siblings, a turkey trot, turkey bowl, yummy food, and my first time black friday shopping! Just have to say there are some crazies out there!!! The two pics above are the only pictures I took the whole weekend..sad I know!! But this boy is pretty cute in his turkey onesie!! I am such a dork I know!! On a side note..Do I look super young? I was asked if I was 18 and then asked for my ID just to make sure at Walmart just to buy some shoe glue.. and then a friend of my dad's said I am WAY too young to have a baby..what the heck!? My mom had 4 kids by the time she was my age!!

Yay for pictures..We had a fabulous photographer take Ryan's newborn pics and we decided we better do it again but with all three of us!! We had a great time and we like too many of them to post but I will post a few of our favorites! And due to blogger being stubborn..i'm not able to post more than these two..i've tried for a couple of days now..so if you so much desire to see the rest of them..go here!!!

A little overdue...

Wow the time has kept ticking while staying busy all the while of neglecting my poor little blog..I have toyed with the idea of throwing in the towel on the whole blog thing. I'm not the greatest blogger there is and lets face it..I now have something or someone much cuter needing my attention but for now I will try my best to squeeze a blog post here and there of the things we've been up to. We did just return from a fabulous trip to California to see my sister and her family. They live in the most beautiful, resort town I have ever been to..ha!! That might be a little of an exaggeration but we had a lot of fun visiting, going to the beach, going on coasters until some of us threw up at six flags. For now..two pics is all I'm putting up..One is Ryan at the beach loving on the sand..and the other at the Utah State football game rocking a sweet fur hat from Aunt Lu. We're hoping to take some family photos soon but haven't yet so you just get Ryan which is fine by me.

MIA

Well we are finally moved in and our place is definitely not a house of order!! One day we might get internet until then I doubt I will be doing much blogging. Our little man currently has an ear infection and I currently have a nasty cold so hopefully we will all be feeling better soon. Did I mention our little man turns 7 months old tomorrow??

Mommas..help?!

Calling for the ALL knowing and experienced moms...need some of your ideas/help since I'm a first timer at this stuff..okay so I have started Ryan on solids but I have no clue on when to start new foods, how many times I should feed him..veggies vs fruits? rice cereal vs oatmeal..? the only thing the Dr. told me was to feed him a bottle first and then feed him the baby food..well most of the time he is full after the bottle..I can always read more things on the Internet but I'd prefer personal experience..anyway just curious what you all have done..I like to be a scheduled/routine kind of person and I know that babies don't allow that a lot of the time but I feel like I have no structure to my days especially in the feeding department so..a little help? Any success on making your own baby food? Also..when do babies/kids start getting on a 2 naps a day schedule??

Moving..

Nick got a job..and We moved!! I wish I would have taken some pictures of us actually moving to show you all how much junk we have but sadly I didnt even know where the camera was packed. We are so blessed to have good friends and family to help us with the move too. I have to admit we were both pretty sad to move from Logan..We LOVE logan..and plan to return..later in life. But things are going pretty good..Nick is liking his new job and I am not sure if I am liking all this time I have on my hands these days!! But I have stayed relatively busy so far so thats good I guess. We can't actually move into our place until the second week in August so we've just been at my parents house for now..which they have been so kind to let us stay here. I do plan on teaching piano once we get moved into our place so hopefully I can get some students lined up.Also..Ryan is doing great..got his first tooth this last week..can I just say..slobber face..I guess it comes with the territory of getting teeth! Anyhow..we're glad to be here and we are definitely adjusting to having to travel 20 minutes+ to get to anything but it sure is nice to be closer to family.

Applications...Applications...Applications

WOW..can I just say job applications are way too time consuming! The rough count for how many jobs we've applied to so far is 117!seriously right? And I'm sure you want to know how many we've heard back from..2 That is a whopping percentage of 1.7% We're hoping that percentage will go up..like it could really go down much more!? And whoever said going into a nursing career would give you an automatic job..yeah right! EVERYONE just wants RN experience and well being recently graduated Nick has none :( BUT..he did pass the NCLEX boards with flying colors this last week!So proud of him..haven't got the hard copy license yet but it should be coming soon. Sure could use a job right about now though!! That's all that is new with us...application after application.

4 MONTHS

Has it really been 4 months since I had this little boy!! Ryan had his check-up this last week and is doing great!! He hasn't been to fun the last couple days but I have to say I am excited to start him on rice cereal. He is getting so fun lately. We love making him laugh..like in this video..too cute!! I put another video on facebook a week or so ago so you can check that one out if you want too. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do..Oh..by the way! Summer weather is finally here..(atleast today it is!)

What are parents thinking??

Right. I know I have only been a parent for a handful of months now but still..come on people!! So here's the story of the picture below..we went to Walmart, well because that's how exciting our lives have become lately. I was at the photo center for atleast half an hour..maybe longer all the while Nick/Ryan were roaming around the electronics and Nick pointed these 3 kids sitting in this shopping cart 2 inches away from the TV watching Tangled. Awesome..parents bring kids to grocery store and park them in front of the TV and take off..sounds like a real good idea to me..sure hope they came back to get their kids at some point..(there was no one in sight for over half hour)but hey the kids were happy.



On a much more happy note. Nick graduated from both Utah State University with a Bachelors and from Weber State University with an Associates (RN). Now to find a job! And pass the boards! And hopefully all that will come soon! Sure proud of my better half!! Congrats!

Blessing Day

We blessed the child a couple weeks ago and it was fabulous! Nick did such a good job and we had LOTS of family that made the effort to come which we were so grateful for. Nothing better than being with family. And surely missed those who weren't able to make it. We are so blessed to have the gospel in our lives. I have recently heard of some terrible tragedies from back home and especially I will hold Ryan a little closer today and thank Heavenly Father for eternal families.

Time is ticking

The child is over 2 months old now!! I can't believe how fast time has gone..I am going back to work on Monday :( Nick will be staying home with him minus when he is in class so a few hours on tues/thurs. Ryan will be ok by himself for that short of time..totally kidding..we have this sweet girl that is married to a guy we went to high school watching him and she seems real excited so that's great. Nick is ALMOST done with this semester!!We have started looking and applying for jobs and hopefully will get one or two offers soon!! So if any of you know of any nursing jobs or a good way to get one, let us know!!Sadly, there are none in Logan so we are more than likely going to move..somewhere!! We'll be praying lots so I won't have to work for too long!! I'm already missin the babe!!We have become quite good friends!! I guess dad gets a turn for a bit!!

Not sure what I was thinking...

Wow! Can you believe I was this big just over a month ago?? Well actually that is when I was 16 and that is NOT Ryan in my belly it's a ball and don't mind that fabulous wig and dress..(Actualy I really do love that dress and would totally wear that now if I owned it!) I came across some old pictures and had a good laugh at this one..I'm also quite sure my dear friends were and probably still are really embarassed of me!! I will say my real pregnant belly wasn't too far from this one though and now I have a cute little boy!! Good times!!

I hope you're not getting sick of pics of him because he is way cuter than we are and you'll be seeing a lot more of him in the future!!

This vs That

A dear friend of mine did this not too long ago on her blog and I have so many things to be thankful for and rather than focus on the hard and frustrating things in life, I want to remember all the good things..so I'm going to copy her a little!
I have never done so much laundry than I have in the last few weeks..
but I am so grateful to have a working washing machine and dryer!
I have never wanted to get out of this apartment so bad..
but I have never been so eager to get back to this apartment
I have never gone this many days without makeup or doing my hair..
but I sure am saving a lot of money and not damaging my hair
I wish Nick wasn't in his last and hardest semester so he could be here more..
but when he is here he gives our little guy so much lovin
I wish it wasn't so cold here..
but the sun is sure pouring in today
It would be nice to talk to an adult every once in awhile..
but I am so lucky I GET to be with this little guy all day long, we're pretty good buddies

Our lives have surely been tipped upside down since adding Ryan but we love it..(most of the time) I have never felt this way before and I love being able to have this opportunity. I have so many things to be grateful for. My boys are healthy and strong and LOVE to eat. Nick is doing awesome in school and is almost done. We have so many good friends and family for support. There are times when I feel so inadequate to raise this little boy but I have come so much closer to my Heavenly Father through constant prayers that I know I have help. the kid is hungry again..happy friday!!

Ryan Keith Ramsey

We made it!! The delivery went so awesome..well as I have been told compared to most people..She broke my water at 1:30p.m. and I gave birth to a cute baby boy at 5:11 p.m.! He weighed 7 lbs and 3 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Not as much hair as we though he'd have and not as dark but we still love him! He is all his dadddy as far as looks go. My coach, aka Nick was great through it all and continues too, when he's not doing the BYU fight song with our newborn's hands!! We came home from the hospital last night..and well I wish I still had all those fantastic nurses to help me with this little guy! Needless to say I am REALLY tired. Sure love this little boy. Here are a couple pics for now, don't have as much time as I used too!! Enjoy.

Showers, presents, holidays, and then..we wait!

The last month has gone by so fast. I was lucky enough to have two showers, one in Logan and one in Idaho. We got lots of cute stuff from both thanks to all those who attended. Then we made it through Christmas and New Years. Christmas was at my parents this year and it was quiet w/just us being there but still fun. Sadly, we didn't take any pictures to capture any of the festivities. New Years was uneventful with me being sick with a nasty cold. I am just going to plan on someone in our household to be sick on New Years. And finally..we made it to less than a month mark for this little guy to arrive..I had my first check up..you know the check up where they actually check "up" ya nice huh and I am moving right along with the process being 80% effaced and dialated to a 2 1/2. Which yes could mean I will stay this way for weeks but it also could mean he's coming sooner than planned! Oh and the doc also predicts a 6-7lb baby so I was pretty happy to hear I wouldn't be having a 10 lb baby like Nick!! My doc said I need to "take it easy" for the next couple of weeks. Right. Like I have time to "take it easy" with a babe on the way! Other than that..Nick is back into school and still working. Here are a few random pics...
