Well we thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday and this past weekend. Thanksgiving was at Nick's house this year. We had so much fun! It was filled with lots of food, lots of talking, and lots of sport playing. I thought I was in okay shape since Ive been running here and there a little but Nick and I could barely move after playing so much. It was good to see friends from high school and play ball with them again! We also had the opportunity to attend our niece, Madison's baptism. It was so neat to be there for that. This past weekend was my mom's birthday and my sister came from Oklahoma for a visit. It was so fun and it went way too fast. Nick wasn't able to come home since finals are this week. We are both glad this semester is over. All of the girls went to lunch and then everyone minus Jules went to the movie Twilight. I have mixed feelings about it. I thought the acting was pretty pathetic and some of the special effects were a little cheesy but what can I say..I love the books so anything to do with it is still okay by me! Other than that we just played games and had a good time. I can't wait for Christmas and to be with family again so soon!

Weirdo Tag!

1. First things first, I chew my tongue. Most people know this but whenever I am doing some mindless task such as folding laundry or coloring or even sometimes playing the piano, I chew on my tongue. Like its gum!

2. I have the most sensitive nose in the world (anyone will vouch for me!) I don't like the smell of a lot of things so whenever anybody walks past me I hold my breath. I have done this for a long time and theres been a few times that I didn't hold my breath long enough and I have smelled some nasty stuff. So now, I hold it for quite awhile after they have passed me. I'm a weirdo I know!

3. My closet is color coded. I have to organize all of my clothes in the order of the rainbow. Not only my shirts though. I color code my pants as well! And lets not forget the shoes too!

4. Whenever I am shopping and I am trying jeans on and I come out to show anyone I stand on my tippy toes. For one, it makes me look skinnier and two, I have to visualize me wearing my tall heels.

5. When I cry..which is hardly ever. My face doesn't show any emotion at all before I cry. Tears will just start streaming. I've been told I don't have any emotions.

6. I sleep diagonal. Nick doesn't appreciate this very much. It is much more comfortable.

7. This one is good one! I hate wasting time..like blogging isn't wasting time right!? I hate taking long showers. I think it is a waste of time. Do the necessities and get out! I think the longest shower I have ever taken has been 15 minutes. I also don't really like using the restroom. Its another one of those time wasting things. I wait until I absolutely have to go! We're all freaks one way or another!

The ol' white camry of mine has over 300,000 miles on it! This was definitely a moment I've been waiting for. I still can't believe it is still running! It's just proof that you can't go wrong with a Toyota! I wish I had more to post than just the mileage on my car but I don't. I can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas to get here. I also can't wait for my sister (Lu) to get here so we can go to the Twilight movie!

Nick's Birthday!

Well there's not much to say but that my husband is amazing and is so fun to be with! I usually try to match everything with everything so Nick had said he wanted a batman cake (a little childish I know) so I decided to go with that color scheme. Nick's favorite present was a playstation 2 that I found for real cheap and he had no idea I was getting for him! He spent the night playing on it! Happy Birthday Nick!

Halloween Dinner!

I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it was festive and since we're all grown up and can't go trick or treating anymore I figured we had to celebrate it somehow! They are so simple to make! The recipie is on http://www.pickypalate.com/ Anyway..if you can't tell what they are, the hot dogs are wrapped in dough to be mummies and the apples have peanut buter and marshmellows for a mouth that is disgusting looking! I bet those of you who have kids might enjoy this!

Another baby blessing/wedding reception weekend!

This weekend was a lot of fun like last weekend. We were able to go to Idaho and spend time with both sides once again. We decided that we'd much rather have nothing going on so we can just relax and hang out with one side rather than being rushed the whole weekend trying to get to another event! We stayed with my parents Friday night and hung out with everyone and then we went to Nick's to help get things ready for the open house saturday night. The open house went well and it was fun to see everyone again. Sunday morning we headed over to our long lost friend Ashley Petersen's ward to hear her speak on her mission. She did wonderful and we wished that we had had more time to talk with her and our friends but we then were off to my sister's new house (which is looking so cute!) for Casen's baby blessing. We had fun chattin with everyone and we ate some good food! What else makes a better weekend then family/friends/and food!?

Eventful Weekend!

We had such an awesome weekend! We were able to go to Kyle's wedding /sealing here in Logan, (Nick's brother)my niece, Jasmine's baptism, and her little brother Garrett's baby blessing. We were so excited for it and we were not let down! It was fun to spend time with both sides in the same weekend! Friday night most of Nick's family came to Logan to set up for the luncheon and we had Matt and Kara and the kids stay with us which was really fun. We got up early the next morning to get everyone ready (including the bride) for the big day. The sealing was beautiful and as soon as we took a few pictures Nick and I were on our way to Gunnison Utah! I had only been there once before but Nick had never been there. Jasmine had asked me to give a talk at the baptism so I was real nervous for that but luckily it turned out okay. After she was baptized and confirmed, little Garrett was blessed in his awesome white tux that even had a coat tail! So cute! Nick and I decided to stay over night at my sisters in Gunnison (thanks Jules!) and went to sacrament meeting with them and headed over to see the Manti temple since I had never been there in person. Nick had already been there but randomly forgot..it was a long time ago! We took a bunch of pics there, oh my! It is such a gorgeous temple! Nick says next time we get married we should get married there! We took over 85 pictures this weekend! Don't worry, I won't post them all!

Dumb Post but it's a Post!!

When life doesn't give you a lot of things to post you just have to take what you can get. Since school has started it has been rather busy. Nick will be finishing his CNA class next week and we both will be glad it is over. This last week he hasn't been home before 9:00p.m. every night! As much as I hated the humidity in Oklahoma, I am having withdrawals from my sister and her kids and the reason is probably because I know my mom is hanging out with them right now! Well the latest for us is nothing too exciting but I did redo an old dresser! I see all these talented people take something crappy looking and make it look so good so I thought I'd give it a try. It was definitely a learning experience but I am happy how it turned out for my very first project like that! Hopefully here in the next little bit I will be able to have something that is worth posting and worth for you 2 people out there to read. For now, this it what you get!

Latest...

I won't make this a super long post about having the opportunity of going to the Twin Falls temple open house since almost everyone I know in Idaho has already been but it was a neat experience and it was so nice having at least half of my family there. We also celebrated my neice's (Kira) birthday after and went to a park and had good food and cake! The following weekend we went to Idaho again for good ole fair week! I love fair and you know you'll probably see almost everyone you know there. It was fun and it was good to see some old friends and catch up with them. I didn't take any pictures from fair because usually if you've been once you know what its like and it doesn't change much from year to year! Now we are just getting ready for school to start...for Nick that is! It is going to be very weird for me not interacting with students and people my age all day. I have been going to school all my life and it will definitely be an adjustment! Nick keeps telling me I need to get a hobby so I'll have something to do while he has to do homework..So if you have any suggestions for a new hobby let me know!! (NOT SCRAPBOOKING..its just not my thing, not creative enough)

Oklahoma!

Well, I had the opportunity to go visit my sister and her kids in Oklahoma this past week. It was so fun to see her and her kids. I loved just being able to sit and talk with her. I hadn't see them since my wedding and it was so fun to play with the kids. They are amazing! Layla is all girl and loves to play dress up and house! Dillon is the most optimistic, energized, crazy kid. He is always trying to make sure everyone is happy. I can't believe how well mannered these kids are. They were always saying thank you to everything and please to everything. We went garage sale shopping one day and Lu bought a toy gun that was 50 cents and Dillon loved it and was so appreciative for it! I still am so amazed at how grown up they act! The humidity was definitely a new experience for me and I have to admit I am not a fan! Luckily we were in the pool the majority of the time. I had such a great time and wish we lived closer to each other so we could play more! I am glad to be back in the dry land and to see Nick. I am so glad I was able to spend some time with my sister. Thanks Lu and Doug!!

Baby Casen!!

Here are a few pictures from my sister's (Ericka) baby. He is one week old today and is doing great! I have had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time with the Coopers the last couple of days. It has been awhile since I've been around a newborn and from what I can tell he is a pretty good baby. Nick said this is his first time being around a newborn so he's practicing in the picture above! He has awhile to get practiced up too!! I'm glad Casen is doing so good since they are in the process of moving to Pocatello. I think I kind of forgot about them moving because we were all anxiously waiting for Casen to come! I'm really going to miss having a sister so close.

Okay, I know I am such a nerd for doing this but who cares! I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be at Borders to buy Breaking Dawn at midnight on August 1st! If anyone would like to join me in this crazy obsession with these books please come because I'm sure I'd enjoy it more if someone came with me! I think I almost had talked my mom into coming with me but I told her I would be staying up all through the night to read it. I haven't ever been a reader and probably won't ever get so obsessed with another book for the rest of my life so I figured it is okay to be this way once!

The Big One Year Anniversary!!

Well, on June 23, 2007 Nick and I were married in the Bountiful temple so it being a year ago Nick and I made it to our first anniversary!! I really do feel pretty old now being married for over a year! I can't believe how fast it has gone. Nick said that people always say that the first year is the hardest and if that is going to be our hardest we're pretty excited for the rest to come cuz it wasn't too shabby!! Nick surprised me and took me to Anniversary Inn which was so fun. We stayed in the Swiss Family Robinson room which was really cool. They are a little pricey but I definitely recommend it to anyone!! I really do appreciate Nick and all that he does for me. I truly can say that I did marry my best friend and although we may not always agree on some things I would not want to be with anyone else! Since being back from S.D. things have been fairly uneventful for us. Nick is taking a class and will start his CNA class this next week and he's working! It hasn't been one of those summers like in high school where every day you wake up wondering what you should do that day...go camping? boating? some kind of summer sport camp? no no..nothing like that anymore! The days are planned out for us so we have very little time to play but we do try to take advantage of every spare moment by going to play tennis or biking or something of the sort! We hope to make some time to enjoy this nice weather but we may just have to settle for looking out the windows of our cars while driving to work!! Life's great!!

Trip of the Summer!!..so far!

Well lets not all make fun of my camo pants because the point of this post is to say thanks to my parents for taking me fishing this last weekend! I was fortunate enough to go home for the weekend and spend some quality time with them both. Nick had to study for a big test in his physiology class so he stayed here in Logan. It was kind of different because it felt like I was back in high school again where it was just us three hangin out! We hiked into Lake Cleveland because the road is still closed because of all the snow! That was an adventure! I can say with my dad's determination that wasn't the first time we have hiked in while it being covered in snow. We caught 9 fish between the 3 of us which is not the best for the amount but we had the entire lake to ourselves for almost the whole day! I had such a good time! Other big news is that I finally got a job which is going really well so far. I work at SOS Staffing which basically I help other people get jobs! I work with two guys who are LDS, married and fairly young so we all have a lot in common and they are really fun to work with. Nick and I are hoping to have a little time to spend camping this summer but other than that life just keeps ticking away!!

Back in Idaho/Utah!

Well, for those of you who haven't heard already. Nick and I are back in Logan working and going to school. Nick and I decided it was more important for him to get this physiology class and get his CNA this summer so it will increase his chances of getting into the Nursing program this winter. It has definitely been a crazy past week! We have been fortunate enough to have family here in Logan that has allowed us to live with them. Nick got his old job back and has started school. I am in the process of interviewing for a couple of jobs and hopefully I can get one soon. Along with being stressed to no end, I was able to go with Ericka and Darren to the good ol' Barrus family reunion. I had a blast seeing everyone and being able to catch up with those cousins I haven't seen in 2 years or more! I missed all of those who couldn't come. It was fairly cold but we still enjoyed spending time in the mountains.

San Diego Temple

Well, this was the most exciting experience since we've been here in San Diego. We were able to go to the temple one morning this last week. It was so good to do a session where it was comfortable and seemed like we were home away from home. This temple had an amazing interior as well as the outside. It was a good experience for the both of us and we hope to be able to go often while we're here since it is only 12 miles away. Life has thrown us some curve balls but we trying to take them as we go and just remember the important things in life. My dad keeps telling me to live in the present because we waste so much time worrying about what mistakes we've made in the past and what might happen in the future but we just have to be happy and enjoy every moment we are currently living in. Family is completely the most important thing our lives. We would be nothing without them. We are so grateful to have such wonderful families and we surely do miss them.

CaLiFoRnIa!!

Well here we are in San Diego, California. Things are going relatively swell here except that Meg and I stayed out in the sun a little too long and got baked! Due to this irresponsible act, I became dehydrated (we assume) and I passed out Sunday morning which during the fall I managed to hit my head on the night stand and get a scrape on my hip which I have no idea what I hit that on! Needless to say, I am still alive and doing great. I am of course a little sore from the sunburn still but I am fairly steady on my feet once again! So, drink lots of water and don't stay out in the blistering sun for 3 hours!

Graduation!

Well, I finally graduated from college! That is the sentence I have been waiting to say for a very long time and it feels great! I want to thank everyone for helping me get there which includes a lot of people. We had a very busy day trying to clean our apartment and get everything we could packed in our car. We also had a nice lunch which quite a few friends and family members were able to make it and it was lovely until I lost my wedding ring! Thankfully, someone found it which was a blessing since I had to be at my graduation 5 minutes from when they found it! Here are few pictures from graduation. New Obsession!

So I just finished reading these three books this last week! I am not a reader at all and I figured I probably should become one. I borrowed these from my mom and thought I might get around to reading them this summer while missing everyone but I started the first one and I couldn't stop! Nick was wondering if he had a wife this past week because I became completely wrapped up in this crazy stuff! Well, I am hooked and thats all there is to it! I absolutely can't wait for the next and last book to come out in August! I have been having withdrawls already from not knowing what happens in the end! I recommend this series to anyone! When people described it to me it didn't seem too appealing to me but somehow I opened it and couldn't put it down! Anyhow, life is going pretty good right now. I am starting to feel the stress coming already with having only two weeks left of school and us moving to California! Sorry we don't have anything too newsworthy to be posting! We'll keep you all updated!

March Updates!

Well Friends and Family!! I figured I should explain to all those who are wondering why and what is taking Nick and I to San Diego. We will be moving to San Diego the day after I graduate!! So May 3rd we will be packing as much as we can into our car and will be on our way to the beach..(we wish) Nick will be selling security alarms for APX this summer and I will be working in the office. We are still a little nervous about this crazy move but we think (as of today) it will be a good experience for us. We figured we might as well get all of this crazy risk-taking out of our systems before we start having kids and we figure we have awhile to do that. We will be moving back to Logan so Nick can continue his schooling. Hopefully I can find a job here in Logan! So those are our plans for the summer! As of this last weekend, we got to stay with one of my friends from the business college and were able to attend one of Nick's best friend's wedding sealing in Salt Lake and it was really neat to be on the flip side of the ones being married! We were also able to make it to the reception the following day in Burley which was so fun and neat to see a lot of our high school friends again. Nick came back for work on Monday and he was so nice to let me stay with my parents for a few days (its our spring break) so I tackled the ol' attic in my parents house and well, we made some great improvements on cleaning it out but we still have some work to do! Other than this fun past weekend nothing else has been going on with us and I can't believe it is already mid-march! Hope all is doing well!

10 Years Ago I Was...
Well, I was 12 years old and I am not quite sure what I was doing with my life in those awkward years. I am sure I was wanting to wear make-up but wasn't allowed until I was 14. I was probably thinking I was on top of the world because I had just gotten into Young Womens. Although, I do remember my first girls camp that summer and I had a blast at Kum-by-Yah and there were rats in the main lodge! Good times!!

First off I would buy a house bigger than our dinky little basement that in one spot you can see all of the house! It's cozy! I would also take crazy expensive trips to all over the world not thinking twice about buying whatever I wanted. Put some away for the children to come..clear down the road! Build a cabin for my dad..and myself..and what the heck..the rest of my family and Nick's!!

Hello All! Well, we survived Christmas and New Years and it was great to spend so much time with family! Life is as busy as you can all understand. Logan is freezing and there is a lot of snow but we really do enjoy it. We also have just made it past the first two weeks of school. Nick is taking a few classes that require a lot of study time so it isn't as laid back as last semester. I am taking a full load once again to finish in May. We are trying to figure out what we will be doing with our lives after I graduate. We have played around with the idea of moving to a few different locations but nothing has stuck just yet but we will keep you all updated on that. We hope all is well with you all and miss you too!
