The Long Wait Is Over....

We finally received the letter above we have been waiting for that says Nick has been accepted to the Nursing program at Weber State University! Yay! We are so happy that he got in! The program technically starts in the summer but he has already taken all the courses that he would be required to take then so he will start next fall. The program is with Weber but he will be able to take the courses here at USU which will prevent us from having to move to Ogden. Good job Nick! We went out to eat with some friends to celebrate. It is such a relief to know what we'll be doing the next little while. As for Nick's USU schooling goes, he has about a semester 1/2 to graduate with his bachelors in Exercise Science so we're hoping he can take a few classes this summer to get closer to finishing with that. I was able to ride with some friends down to salt lake and attend our friend's graduation and she got straight A's the whole way! Good job Cindy Lou!

Valentines Day!

Well after my last post of making fun of Nick, I thought I should write some nice things about him! But let's be honest, I am not the most romantical person or as I call it cheesy when it comes to talking about feelings and such! Just not me! I do have a heart I promise! I do want to say I appreciate all the Nick does for me and how much fun I have with him. Nick surprised me pretty good this Valentines. He got me not one but TWO dozen roses which are so gorgeous! He said it was because I was double good this year! Probably not but it sounds good right. Then he got me my favorite perfume which is kinda spendy so that was pretty exciting too! He took me to this cute Italian restaurant that we have heard so much about and overall I thought it was pretty good. It's called Le None's. I recommend it to anyone..it is a little steep in price I thought but it was still good and they gave every girl a rose since it was Valentine's Day which was a bonus!! We then went to Cold Stone and got some delicious ice-cream to end the night! It was such a fun night and we had a great time! Thanks for being the greatest husband ever Nick! I sure hope everyone had a great Valentines Day as well! Here are a few pics.

Classic pose from my one and only...I wish he would just smile! I still love him either way!

The gorgeous roses he got me...my lack of photography skills don't do them justice!
Eating our cold stone ice-cream..yes Meag that is minus two points!

Updates

Not too many exciting things have happened since I last posted but I do have a few pics to share. Last weekend Nick and I went snowboarding at Beaver here in Logan and it was such a beautiful day on the mountain. I don't think we could've picked a better day. The snow was a little icy in the morning but not for very long. They had receieved a ton of snow a day or two previous so there was a lot of powder! I have recently switched jobs as well. I started last week at the City of Logan. I am working in the utility billing office. I am starting to warm up to all my co-workers and think it's going to be a good job for me. It is definitely different compared to my other job where it is so busy that I don't even time to think about being bored so it makes the day go by a lot faster which is always good. Nick is still working hard at school and this semester is a little bit less stressful without having those crazy microbiology classes. We also got to go hang out with one of my good friends from when I first moved to Logan back in the single days! It was her birthday so a bunch of people went to the factory and ate some good food!
Not a cloud in sight! It was so nice!
This was so funny...Nick was having some trouble attaching his ski ticket to his pants. He had no idea I was taking the pictures but I had nothing to do while he struggled with this.

Here is another one..him still not getting it! You'd think he hadn't done this before..

And he is still working on it but has finally got it! What a smarty!

Me and Steph on her birthday! Thanks for the fun times!

Should I or Should I not?

Hey all! Nick and I haven't been up to much lately. Nick applied for nursing school and all we can do now is wait until April to find out if he got in. We are wishin and hopin' and prayin that he does cause we're not sure what we'll do if not! Of course..being me I have a few back up plans of my own but I'm not sure I have ran those past Nick yet! I have just been working away. I have started teaching piano which has been fun so far. I have two boys as of right now but wouldn't mind more so if anyone knows anyone that wants to take let me know!! We haven't been taking very many pictures of the uneventful lives that we live but hopefully we'll remember to take the camera with us just in case we find something somewhat exciting! This is my latest find at DI. I really do like the vintage look and the fabric. I sometimes look at it and kind of want to throw up but for the majority of the time I really like it! It was a steal so I bought it thinking that if I ended up not liking the fabric I would just re-cover it to match our bedroom. So what do you think? Should I cover it or leave it the way it is? I know its kind of a pathetic post but hey I'm trying! Let me know what you think!

Holiday Festivities!

Christmas was so fun this year. We were able to spend it with my family for the majority of it and did get to spend a day with Nick's side. We must of have been good because Santa brought us great gifts and we have been enjoying them all. We went bowling one afternoon with my family and well Nick thought he was just amazing and made me take a picture of him holding his score so everyone could see it! The rest of the time we were playing games, guitar hero, and just hanging out. We got quite a bit of snow over the break and had to take a few minor detours to get to our destinations but we made it safely! For New Year's we went to our friend's house and played lots of games and then went sledding down Old Main Hill at 3:30 a.m.! We didn't go to bed til 5:00 a.m.! I am feeling the effects of staying up too late...not as young as I used to be! Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays!! Good luck in 2009!!

Well we thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday and this past weekend. Thanksgiving was at Nick's house this year. We had so much fun! It was filled with lots of food, lots of talking, and lots of sport playing. I thought I was in okay shape since Ive been running here and there a little but Nick and I could barely move after playing so much. It was good to see friends from high school and play ball with them again! We also had the opportunity to attend our niece, Madison's baptism. It was so neat to be there for that. This past weekend was my mom's birthday and my sister came from Oklahoma for a visit. It was so fun and it went way too fast. Nick wasn't able to come home since finals are this week. We are both glad this semester is over. All of the girls went to lunch and then everyone minus Jules went to the movie Twilight. I have mixed feelings about it. I thought the acting was pretty pathetic and some of the special effects were a little cheesy but what can I say..I love the books so anything to do with it is still okay by me! Other than that we just played games and had a good time. I can't wait for Christmas and to be with family again so soon!

Weirdo Tag!

1. First things first, I chew my tongue. Most people know this but whenever I am doing some mindless task such as folding laundry or coloring or even sometimes playing the piano, I chew on my tongue. Like its gum!

2. I have the most sensitive nose in the world (anyone will vouch for me!) I don't like the smell of a lot of things so whenever anybody walks past me I hold my breath. I have done this for a long time and theres been a few times that I didn't hold my breath long enough and I have smelled some nasty stuff. So now, I hold it for quite awhile after they have passed me. I'm a weirdo I know!

3. My closet is color coded. I have to organize all of my clothes in the order of the rainbow. Not only my shirts though. I color code my pants as well! And lets not forget the shoes too!

4. Whenever I am shopping and I am trying jeans on and I come out to show anyone I stand on my tippy toes. For one, it makes me look skinnier and two, I have to visualize me wearing my tall heels.

5. When I cry..which is hardly ever. My face doesn't show any emotion at all before I cry. Tears will just start streaming. I've been told I don't have any emotions.

6. I sleep diagonal. Nick doesn't appreciate this very much. It is much more comfortable.

7. This one is good one! I hate wasting time..like blogging isn't wasting time right!? I hate taking long showers. I think it is a waste of time. Do the necessities and get out! I think the longest shower I have ever taken has been 15 minutes. I also don't really like using the restroom. Its another one of those time wasting things. I wait until I absolutely have to go! We're all freaks one way or another!

The ol' white camry of mine has over 300,000 miles on it! This was definitely a moment I've been waiting for. I still can't believe it is still running! It's just proof that you can't go wrong with a Toyota! I wish I had more to post than just the mileage on my car but I don't. I can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas to get here. I also can't wait for my sister (Lu) to get here so we can go to the Twilight movie!

Nick's Birthday!

Well there's not much to say but that my husband is amazing and is so fun to be with! I usually try to match everything with everything so Nick had said he wanted a batman cake (a little childish I know) so I decided to go with that color scheme. Nick's favorite present was a playstation 2 that I found for real cheap and he had no idea I was getting for him! He spent the night playing on it! Happy Birthday Nick!

Halloween Dinner!

I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it was festive and since we're all grown up and can't go trick or treating anymore I figured we had to celebrate it somehow! They are so simple to make! The recipie is on http://www.pickypalate.com/ Anyway..if you can't tell what they are, the hot dogs are wrapped in dough to be mummies and the apples have peanut buter and marshmellows for a mouth that is disgusting looking! I bet those of you who have kids might enjoy this!
